Matthias Heinemann - Associate Professor (University of Groningen)

The Heinemann Lab at the University of Groningen is interested in understanding how microbial primary carbon and energy metabolism functions and how it controls other cellular processes. For this, the lab uses computational as well as experimental approaches, both in vivo and in vitro. Within the Dutch EVOLF consortium, the lab will equip synthetic cells with a glycolytic pathway, rebuilt from the bottom-up.
